average US liberal: “I’d hate to live in an authoritarian police state like Russia”

also average US liberal: “Though it is bad that the police are militarized and have constant access to everything we do at all times without the need for a warrant, we’re not in a police state”

I’ve been visiting the USA for 2 days now and I’ve seen more cops than I ever did in 6 months in China. Not to mention most cops in China aren’t armed, and are actually helpful and friendly rather than intimidating.

I always feel much safer and more comfortable in China than in the US, both from law enforcement/the state as well as other randoms.

Every time I hear about AES cops, it’s about how nice and actually helpful they are.

That says a lot about who and what is being ‘served and protected’ in capitalist countries, it’s definitely not the people.

Not necessarily. They can hand the reigns back to “responsible” liberals back in power and say “that was awkward” and pretend the horrors of overt mass murders by police just never happened.

Pff, amatures, here in brazil we have a huge branch of the police that is actually named Military Police, all pretense has been thrown out over here, there is a war against the people, hence military police. They get some points for honesty, just kidding military police deserves no points.
