To me, TERFs are the saddest group of all. They are literally inventing shit to be mad at. That bussy ain’t for you Marta! I’ll take a bit though.

TERFs are just gender fassicts. Which is why they welcome explicit Nazis at their events and JK loves Matt Walsh.

Edit: I didn’t hear back from you so I’m leaving this here in case you return.

Housekeeping: I believe your intentions are good but would suggest there are better ways to be an ally than picking fights on our behalf. I appreciate that you’re motivated to help but ask that you control the vigilante urge to call out and accuse others online, even those who misspeak or are wrong, because it makes others feel bullied, and the bullied often become bullies themselves.

It may feel good in the moment, even righteous, as you collect upvotes from prejudicial brigades, but the truth is it harms us by victimizing potential allies in our name. At best, your attack makes others speak more carefully for fear of being targeted themselves but even that “victory” is fleeting, as we’ve witnessed these past few years.

Clearly you have the knowledge and interest to be an effective educator and advocate, and it would only require small adjustments to your approach. On the other hand, if enforcement is the only way you feel able to help, that’s OK. I would just ask that you please volunteer for official content moderation instead of spoiling for a fight in random threads.

      Thank you for listening.

TERFs were misandrists first. They continue to hold trans women’s birth assignment against them. Ofc gay men are next.

They’re my go-to example of the longterm cost of tolerating/using hate as a weapon in an otherwise just cause, because TERFs eventually turned the weapon against their own.

What? Wait. What? No. Not at all…

        1. TERFs are not feminists, seen by the fact that they are fascists. They use the language of “protecting women” to hide bigotry and exclusion while ignoring the core concept of liberation from patriarchy. Pick up any feminist text and youll see a rich history of women allying with queer people. Absolutely nothing about their cause is “just”.

        2. Calling persecution of trans women misandry is itself transphobia.

~Can’t tell if you’re trolling or simply misunderstood everything I said.~ Nevermind, I think you were sincere, if a bit overly primed for interdiction. I’ll leave my thoughts in the comment above.

My organization supports and advocates for trans students in higher education. Part of what we unpack in our meetings and reading groups are the origins of this type of thinking in society, and how to correct it.

          1. I didn’t say TERFs are feminists. I said they were misandrists. Misandry was their interpretation of feminism and it’s the core reason they exclude trans women so aggressively.
          2. I also didn’t call trans persecution misandry. I said TERFs were misandrists first. They begrudge trans women their birth assignment. For them it’s misandry. Or if you like: they think of the patriarchy as a group of people (men) and trans women as imposters from that group.

The most tragic thing about this is that she isn’t even using the word breedable correctly. The traditional meaning of the word, which she is trying to gatekeep, means to produce offspring. Humans breed by procreating with another human to create human children. Vaginas do not breed with other vaginas to create vagina children, so vaginas are not breedable.

Even if you think the slang form of the word breedable this guy used is invalid, he’s still breedable as long as he’s capable of impregnating someone, even if he has no desire to do so.

The difference between technically correct and contextually correct.

You know the argument is getting old when the debate is over semantics rather than the implication of the statement.

Doesn’t sound like a TERF, just an annoying pedantic linguistic prescriptivist.

ACTUALLY, the womb is the most inhospitable place for an embryo to attach. They could attach far easier anywhere else.

Also I think in this context breedable in the gay community means he likes bareback cream pies.

Which seems to be something they both enjoy. you’d think it would bring everyone together.

Everybody likes getting creamed in, Marta. you’re not special

I’m pretty sure were only months away from artificially constructing sperm / ova from any given human gene sample.

Then you just need a willing partner, maybe a surrogate mother and to hold the beer of your fertility technician.
