The PRC succeeded the ROC. The PRC actually does remember the ROC and pays tribute to the contributions of Sun Yat Sen. However, this is clearly a reactionary meme as they likely are pro-taiwan/kmt chiang kai shek right wing dictatorship. The ROC was never powerful like a T-Rex, it’s been weak and corrupt pretty much other than Sun.

The dinosaur are ancestor of chicken so it must represent the nationalists as the powerful ancestor that was defeated against the Communists as weak descendent that survived. This is a big joke of the nationalist fanatics since even the Pax Americana media and school textbooks that often slander Communists had admited that the rampart corruption and incompentancy led to the defeat of Chiense Nationalists by the more competent and more disciplined Chinese Communists. The KMT did have greater military weapons, economic resources, traditionalist support, and support from the corrupted elites, but their corruption and incompentancy after the death of Sun Yat Sen caused their failure.

The analogy itself is also a joke since not all dinosaurs are giant and the perceived superiority of the dinosaur did not help them survive after a mass extinction compared to birds which are perceived to be inferior to dinosaur but have actual superior characteristics to survive today.

The ROC was an absolute joke of a state. Even if the communists suddenly disappeared in 1927 and Mao never got into politics and stayed an elementary school teacher. The country politically and economically would at best look like India and most likely be like Russia. Also a lot of these KMT Chinese Americans and larpers like to think that the racism will end once China is wholesome democracy chungus. Newsflash, it won’t. Yeah Japan has its problems but notice how they still act with racist orientalist comments when something in Japan shows up or the same with South Korea. Also to think that Chiang didn’t have half a backbone in him. Anyone else who succeeds him just try to play the Soviets and the US around like India did. China and it’s sheer size will not try to koutou that easily to the US and if it did. Nothing will change. Global warming will be rapidly accelerated. You will still barely make enough to live, shrinkflation will happen. Queer rights are going to go down the shitter and racism will still be an issue against these Twinkies.

I really enjoy the progress of AI and AI art. It’s really sad that under capitalism AI art gets used for profit and causes artists to lose work.

I would love to have it as another tool in my arsenal. It could save me hundreds of hours in boring tedious work that I don’t enjoy. But the only people who really “use” AI art are people who have nothing but contempt for real artists, so it’s too distasteful to use for anything. I’ve used it very occasionally to make references for things, which is probably the most I would’ve ever used it anyway. It’s still frustrating that something that could be used as a tool for artists to create more and better art is being used to try and under cut them and destroy our livelihoods.
