You won’t absolutely need anything here, but if you wanted to do the grind then focus on Primed Heated Charge and Primed Tactical Pump.
The smite mods are technically among the best damage boosting mods in the game, but require them to be swapped out each time you fight a different type of enemy. Many people, myself included, find that too tedious for what it’s worth. I can chill in Steel Path decimating enemies without the smite mods so it’s really a super optimization.
