So, I was reading the article on the PSL and I noticed that there “Controversy” section had a different bias compared to the rest of the article. The article on Maupin also has an anti-PSL bias. Can ProleWiki come to a consensus on the PSL rather than having competing biases on the PSL article?

This is the PSL article in question, and the controversies section is quoted below:

    https://en.prolewiki.org/wiki/Party_for_Socialism_and_Liberation

The PSL has been accused for decades of being cult-like in its organization methods and permitting sexual harassment and protecting sexual abusers (in locations across the country including Dallas, Philadelphia, Carbondale, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Albuquerque).[14][15]

Some controversies have arisen in recent years regarding some of the affiliations of the PSL, as its prominence grows in the public eye. This is to be viewed within the context that communist parties in the US are regularly targeted by intelligence agencies for sabotage, as demonstrated by the FBI’s COINTELPRO operation. Among the more prominent examples is its association with right wing entryist Brian Becker, who some critics allege hosted a radio show with “guests being either LaRouchite entryists or outright belonging to the far right,” as well as multiple allegedly former CIA analysts.[16][17]

I don’t really see the problem here. The article doesn’t seem particularly biased to me - it just puts forward (sourced) criticisms that have been leveled at PSL.

I don’t agree that any criticism of a party is necessarily bias against them. I would personally want any potential comrade from a vulnerable demographic to be aware of those criticisms if they’re considering joining. This is much more mild than some criticism I’ve seen of PSL.

I personally think there’s plenty to criticize PSL about, but they still seem to overall be the least-bad of the U$ parties.

Political parties always have something to be criticized about, and parties make mistakes too. To publicly discuss those mistakes is not bias, it’s trying to reach towards an accurate description of the organization.

Of course, we also make mistakes too, so if you have something to add about the party which would improve our article, you can either write paragraphs here with sources, and the editors will put there after we verify it or you can also apply for an account on the wiki as well
